PIKIT MULAT IMAGES

As the name implies,Pikit Mulat are Filipino words that literally mean Close Open (as in eyes)in English.It is my own metaphor for the camera lens that when the camera is clicked, the lens opens and shuts like a human eye.

Personal Realms

In my desire to visually express my art, I chose photography as medium for the simple reason that "it says all" without saying a word.Through the years, from a simple Yashica SLR 35mm camera given by my brother-in-law, to my Nikon digital camera, I captured images ranging from photojournalism to fine art photography.It was not an easy task along the way as it was often times marred with painful frustrations at first ,but dogged persistence outweighed everything and the relentless pursuit of such passion in photography became clearer by the day.
It fascinates me no end to see the result of what my eyes have seen and what my simple camera have captured.Translated into paper,the images before my eyes thrilled me no less and the desire to hone that skill keeps me from striving to be the best that I can be.
